St. Vincent de Paul, Dayton District Council is a 501(C)(3) organization that assists the homeless and impoverished by sharing God’s love with emergency shelter, transitional housing, food, clothing, household items, and guidance on their path to leading a self-sustaining life. We provide aid of those on the brink of losing shelter, those who are currently homeless, and to those working to secure permanent housing.
Inspired by Gospel values, the management staff, conference leadership and the Community Advisory Board are guided by the Dayton District Council’s vision "To be and to recognize the presence of Christ for and in every person, especially those who are poor, homeless, unemployed, or experiencing a life crisis."
The Dayton District Council is a member of the Society of St. Vincent DePaul Council of the USA which is part of the international organization of St. Vincent DePaul founded by Frederic Ozanam in 1833 as a college student in Paris in honor of French priest, St. Vincent de Paul, the patron saint of charitable societies.
We invite you to learn more about what we do and how you can join us as a volunteer and with your financial support and other donations.
