For many in our community, life has been harder on them than others. Some times their circumstances are due to bad choices. Often it is the result of a troubled childhood. And for some, their troubles are perpetuated by health issues.
St. Vincent de Paul provides a safe harbor, a helping hand, and for those who are committed, proven programs for turning their life around.
For Jenifer, it was finding herself and her infant daughter alone and homeless that was the catalyst for her to take control of her life and escape a cycle of domestic abuse. For military veteran Lewis, it was a hospital stay for post-traumatic stress disorder that gave him the clarity to face his addictions. And for Veronica, it was the fear that her drug use would lead to an early death that led to her becoming clean and sober.
