The Society of St. Vincent de Paul will have its 1st Annual Friends of the Poor Walk on Saturday, September 27th. Conferences and Councils across the nation will be walking to raise dollars and awareness for those in need in their communities, as they also celebrate the 175th Anniversary of the founding of the Society on the Feast Day for St. Vincent de Paul.
All of the funds raised through the Walk here in Dayton, will fund the programs of St. Vincent de Paul, Dayton.
The walk will begin at 10:00 a.m. at the St. Vincent de Paul Thrift Store at 945 S. Edwin C. Moses Blvd. Pre-registration is needed for walk organizers to order complimentary t-shirts, food and refreshments for participants.
Those unable to join us on September 27th but wanting to support the many walkers and volunteers, may make donations directly to a registered walker or make a gift in honor of the Walk for the Poor online or by mail.
