Eligibility and Interview Process

To be considered as an applicant for Transitional Housing:
  • All participants must be able to provide documentation of homelessness

  • Single participants must be willing to pursue educational/employment goals

  • Families must have children and be able to demonstrate legal custody

  • Participants must not have impediments that would prevent them from following an intensive case plan, i.e., drug abuse, alcohol dependent, or mental illness

  • Participants must want to cooperate in the case management process, change and achieve a better lifestyle and be ready, willing and able to work on educational and/or employment goals
Candidates must be referred by a referring agency including the St. Vincent de Paul Hotel and complete an application. The interview process includes meetings with Transitional Housing's team of social workers and a psychological assessment.
